So this weekend was the Montreal tattoo convention which means I got to be with everyone I love at the same time so I took advantage of that and got a portrait tattoo and a facial cutting.
Some new stuff :D Collapse )

Thanks for reading/checking me out.

A couple of weeks ago I got my forehead branded. It's still healing but when it's done I'll post more pictures. Stoked to do the rest of my face!

I know this isn't very active anymore, but I'm posting on the off-chance that this is still on people's friends page!

I literally just swallowed a whole tongue BAR :S I'm used to swallowing the balls, but I've never swallowed a bar....it was the whole bar with one ball attached. I'm slightly worried about how it will go through my body considering it is long and pointy rather than a smooth ball...basically am I right to be worried or am I being a hypochondriac?

Buying an IAM membership?
Does anyone have the link for purchasing an IAM subscription? I think I e-mailed the support address about this a while ago, but can't find their reply. Before I go bothering them again, I figured I'd just ask here. Every link I try to follow to buy a subscription takes me to the Help/FAQ page.

Tattoo artists near Reading, PA?
This is probably a huge longshot, but does anyone have recommendations for artists/shops that are good at traditional work near Reading, PA? I live in Pottstown, but I don't mind traveling to Allentown, Reading, Lancaster, etc.. basically anywhere within an hour and a half of Pottstown/Reading. The guy I used to go to isn't at that shop anymore, and I can't seem to find him. Thanks for any help!

Hey guys. I had my ears cut today. The sutures are the same colour as my hair! :D
I cross posted this. I have custom labradorite conch pins to wear in them when I remove the sutures in two weeks.
Don't click if you have a weak tummy.

Recently my lobe piercings have gotten really pissed off. The backs of my ears became crusty and oozy & eventually bloody. I removed the jewelry I had in and replaced it with some other jewelry. It seems to have come out of nowhere. I'd had the same jewelry in for months and kept them clean. I am suspecting it's something to do with the o-rings since it was just the backs of my ears that were affected. I've heard of people being allergic to o-rings but I don't know anyone who is. The o-rings I had in were the typical black ones that come with BAF jewelry. I am currently wearing circular barbells so it isn't an issue. What would one replace the black o-rings with so I can put my plugs back in?

Thanks in advance!

Tattoo artists in Las Vegas
I know there are hundreds upon hundreds of tattoo artists on the Las Vegas strip but I was wondering if anyone had an idea as to which ones are reputable.  I am looking to get a tattoo while I'm down there for New Years.  (I am aware of it not being a good idea to get tattoos while travelling but I am there often so touch-ups won't be a problem) The design is super simple, black.  I don't need an amazing artist, just a clean, professional and ethical shop in the area.

Hey yall,

I'm in Madrid visiting a friend and really want to get a tattoo. There are a few listings on BME and such, but I was wondering if anyone had some personal experiences and specific recommendations.
I'm in Chamberí, but I can go wherever the Metro takes me.

This might be a long shot, but I'd appreciate any info you can give!

Corset Piercings in the news
Corset piercings tug at perceptions of beauty

Familiar to body manipulation enthusiasts, corset piercing is now becoming more mainstream as young women, inspired by photos circulating on Facebook and other social media sites, are starting to wear them to prom, as Halloween or Burning Man costumes, or for weddings and gay pride parades.

Demitria posted a reply to the negative comments and personal attacks posted by readers.

hello bmezine, i have an issue.

last saturday (as of now, 3 days ago) i got my lip pierced. previously, i have both sides of my lip pierced, and had them for about three years before i decided to retire them. they were pierced with a 14 gauge needle so i semi large scars from them which is no big deal to me but at the notion of having more scars, i decided to have the new piercing done through the old scar (this time it was with a 16 gauge so we figured scarring be minimal?). the front is dead on through the scartissue, however after leaving the shop i realized that the new piercing is angled much lower than the original. i was distraught but didn't think much of it, until the back of the labret stud (which is much longer anyways) started to rub against my teeth incessantly, as well as a bit agaisnt my gums (!). i decided to deal with it, under the impression that when i switched jewlery it be more manageable but the sensation of it against my teeth was just too unbearable and worrisome to me. i ended up changing jewelery to a cbr and it's much better (i know i shouldn't have changed it, but i couldn't deal with it. my mouth keep puckering to keep it from touching my teeth no matter how hard i tried to relax) but i am very unhappy with the placement still. i worry that later dental damage will occur if left in the same position and no piercing is worth that. it's been only a short while of time, but i was wondering what you guys would think of how to go about me getting this situation fixed. either way, i want it pierced straighter, which i believe is how it should of been in the first place, but should i wait and let what i have heal before getting it repierced or should i just go ahead and get it redone and let the old hole heal simultaneously? would there be too much swelling? i am worried also because, while i do not think it is infected, there is a great deal more swelling than i have ever had associated with a lip piercing, with a little clear to light, sallow yellow discharge, and some heat, but no discoloration. also, from the swelling, the lip on the piercing side is getting ulcerated at the top and overall i am just very uncomfortable.

i am so at a loss at what to do. i feel so stupid but i rather do it correctly this time and have the internets laugh at me than go through this again. :(

I've had my tongue pierced for over a year and a half now. it's been completely fine up until about a week ago. it's become swollen and the bottom hole is reaaally sore. it's not red and theres no puss though so I dont think it's infected.. I tried changing my jewelry and swishing with mouthwash but it's not helping. any suggestions??

Hello and sorry for my rusty English.
I'm going to BMXnet this year. It will be my first year.
And I'm searching for a room-mate, to live in the hotel where the conference is being held.
Because it's kinda hard to pay almost 50eur for night, when you don't have a steady income .....

So... anyone ?

ATTN: people with a .edu email address
While this isn't exactly body mod related, I thought a few people on here might be interested in this.

Amazon is offering a free 1 year subscription to Amazon Prime (Free 2 day shipping, $3.99 overnight shipping): http://amzn.to/bSH8jP

This is being marketed towards college students but all you need is a valid .edu email address, so teachers and alumni can benefit from this too!

Now is a time that I wish I was still in college. Oh well, what can you do?

Reputable tattoo shops on St. Kitts.
I'm going to St. Kitts around September and I was wondering if anyone knew of any decent shops(if any) on the island of St. Kitts. I would appreciate any information. Thanks!

Portait Tattoos

So i have these really beautiful pictures of my granparents that I'm wanting as two separate pieces the only places I can think of is either the backs of my calves or on the inside of my arm.
The only problem with the inside of my arms (so that they are across the main veins pumping blood to and from my heart) is that I already have this large portrait on the inner forearm right below my armpit on my right arm, and I thought it might look like a sloppy placement choice.

I dunno guys tell me what you think!
